On Saturday, the team fought hard in Singapore Premier Open Category in the first heat but falling behind strong opponents like NUS (National University of Singaore), RP (Republic Polytechnic) and Taman Jurong and settled at the 4th placing. With the timing of 51.36s, we were ahead of Tampines Changkat team (52.01s) and IBM (53.50s). The fastest timing holder in the heat is NUS with the timing of 48.41s.

As 4th placing didn’t warrant a direct semi-finals, we headed to repechage. A timing of below 50s would give the opponents a good run for their money. Unfortunately, We didn’t perform better in the repechage and settled at the 4th placing again behind teams like SPC (Singapore Paddle Cub), Vuvuzela and Spanish Armada with a timing of 54.27s. SPC came in first with the timing of 51.24s.

The team didn’t manage to paddle on Sunday as all Premier Open 500m race were cancelled due to unforeseen wet weather throughout the whole day. It was a long wait for all teams and paddlers but the idle time allow some good team bonding sessions.
